Taking our own advice from our New Year’s resolutions post last month, we decided to pick a few to do.
First one – Learn Something New!
I have always wanted to start drawing again but a different style. People I know have gone off to University to study ‘Fashion’ their portfolios are amazing and I’ve always wanted to get into Fashion Designing. Why not try something new and give it ago.
I went and bought a sketch book and some sketching pencils and followed a few tutorials to create me own designs.
I started out with the basic female’s body using circles and lines, which I then went a little further to turn the lines into body parts.
After managing the basic body, I decided to go for a more detailed approach using a bit more shading, which I say was quite successful to what I thought it would be.
After that I then focused on looking at different hand positions you can create on a human pose. Again, I started off basic and working up by adding on more detailed lines until happy.
Finally, I have got up to sketching the different types of bras and knickers as that’s what goes on the body first. I would love to create fashionable underwear and no better way than to start with the basics first. My favourite range of underwear is Victoria’s Secret.
That’s all for now. Follow us to stay updated to where my drawing goes next. If you have any tips or advice for me I’d love to hear it!
Thank you for reading and we would love to hear all about your adventures in trying something new.
Sorry we haven’t blogged much recently but we are back and you better be ready for some good posts!

You looking for a fresh start in the New Year to motivate yourself out of bed for work or University lectures? We are going to tell you about ours! You never know this might help you as we weren’t morning people.
One of us is at work as a student intern and the other is at University so can get an idea for both routines.
Before Work Routine (Female): 💼
I only leave myself an hour to get up for work and ready but that is enough for me and I also feel ready for the day. You don’t want to get up too early and find yourself sat downstairs for ages before leaving or leaving it too late and rushing!
⏰ 6:00am – Alarm goes off
📱 10 minutes I check my social media and news app
💆🏼 6:10am – Grab my dressing gown and head to do my hair (sometimes straighten or tie-up)
💄 6:20am – I head over to my mirror to do my make up (Moisturise then Foundation and Mascara)
👗 6:30am – Throw on my Uniform and head downstairs
☕️ 6:35am – Make myself cup of fruit tea and some breakfast of my choice then go sit down and relax for a bit
🚗 6:55am – Head out to the car and leave for work.
I never use to eat breakfast or make it to my 9am lectures but being on placement has helped and got me into a good routine making sure I’m ready for the day ahead.
Before University (Male): 📋
Well I don’t have to get up that early at 6am so I get a nice lie in! To get me ready for the day I enjoy a fresh quick, body shower which wakes you up and gets your ready for a day ahead and you are clean!
⏰ 7:30am – Alarm goes off
📱 I check my phone and wake myself up for a little as no rush
🚿 7:45am – I go jump in a quick shower
👔 8:00am – Get dressed after the shower
☕️ 8:10am – I grab myself a coffee and something to eat
💼 8:30am – I get ready to walk to University
👞 8:40am – I leave for my lecturer ready and refreshed
I don’t always have a shower if I have the night before so I use that half an hour to wake myself up and lie in bed for a little longer. I will make sure if I need a shower or not I will be up at 7:45am so I don’t fall out of the routine.
Thank you for reading and we hope these help you and follow our routines.
This is a great and creative idea to keep track of your yearly progress.
You could use this progress tracker for many topics to update such as:
What time of exercise you did, arms day, legs day etc.
Keep track of your work and meetings
Did you eat your 5-a-day
Drink more water
Cheat day (takeaway) etc.
There is probably plenty more ideas!
We decided to go with the emotion progress to show how we feel day-to-day. This is a good way to show how you really are feeling and could even write notes on the next page to get your feelings out, rather than bottling them up.
We have chosen to look at 6 different emotions:
You can chose as many or as little emotions to choose from as you would like, use any colour for them as you would like and go crazy!
Just remember the more you chose it can be harder to pick from as you change emotions through the day. We stuck to the basics and chose an overall satisfaction for the day.
Remember: the day is only 24 hours, start your next day positive no matter how bad the day before was. A new day, a new start!
Thank you for reading and we hope this helps you. Comment, email or message us any ideas you have had or your progress planner as we would love to see your ideas!
